Why Early Orthodontic Evaluations Matter
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that children have their first orthodontic checkup around age 7. That does not mean every child needs braces right away. Many children simply need growth and development monitored over time.
An early evaluation can help identify crowding, bite concerns, spacing, jaw-growth issues, or habits that may affect how the teeth and bite develop. When treatment is needed, timing can make care simpler and more predictable.
